Load Chain G80
Alloy Steel Chain is manufactured specifically for use in chain slings for lifting purposes.
The chain is heat treated for tensile strength and resistance to wear whilst also allowing for shock absorption.
Factory site
Application Equipment
Electric chain hoist
The chain’s precision-formed links engage perfectly with the hoist’s load sheave (sprocket)
Each link’s uniform geometry ensures consistent meshing with the gear teeth
Pulling the hand chain activates the dual-pawl mechanism
Rotational force transfers through:
Hand Chain → Gearing System → Load Sheave → G80 Load ChainTensile strength (800MPa) prevents elongation during lifting
Manual hoist
Precision-calibrated chain links (tolerance ±0.1mm) perfectly mesh with the hoist’s load sheave
Each interlocking connection maintains consistent load distribution across all contact points
Hand chain operation activates a dual-gear reduction system (typically 20:1 ratio)
Torque conversion process:
Hand chain pull → Drive gears → Load sheave → G80 load chain movement800MPa tensile strength prevents plastic deformation during lifting
Liftiing rigging
Precision-engineered chain links create uniform stress distribution
Each interlocking connection maintains balanced load transfer
360° rotation capability enables multi-directional rigging
Direct load path from attachment points to chain body
Optimized link geometry minimizes stress concentrations
800MPa tensile strength ensures load integrity
Adjustable leg length options (1-10m standard)

Safety Comes First
- Never walk or stand under a suspended load.
- Always know load weight to avoid sling failure.
- Never overload a sling. Never ride on sling or load.
- Ensure the load is balanced and will not tilt or fall.
- Position hooks of multi-leg slings facing outward from the load. Do not lift on the point of the hook and ensure that the chain is not twisted or knotted.
- Never expose chain slings to chemicals, particularly acidic conditions, without consulting the supplier.
Introduction to problems that may cause the G80 lifting chain to break
Generally, there are two ways of chain fracture: one is strong fracture; the other is fatigue fracture.
The so-called strong break means that during the operation of the chain, if large coal blocks, iron blocks, etc. are stuck on the track, the chain break protection will be delayed or refuse to move, causing the chain to be broken. The so-called fatigue fracture means that after long-term operation of the chain, the surface wear-resistant coating falls off, the chain’s anti-wear ability decreases, and the load-bearing capacity weakens, leading to fatigue chain breakage.
In order to prevent chain accidents, quality control must be strictly controlled during processing and procurement. G80 lifting chains must be inspected regularly to detect and deal with problems in a timely manner. We must try our best to avoid the problem of strong chain breaks. When working on the chain, we must standardize the work process. Fatigue chain breakage must be eliminated, inspected regularly, and the chain replaced in a timely manner.
Product Feature Box
Ideahang has our own factory to manufacture chains blocks and some parts, so can control the chain hoists’ cost originally. Here has the flexible choices for you.
Quality is the first for lifting equipment. Every hoist will have the tensile inspection 1-1.5times according to the quality before packaging.
It is our responsibility to help customers save every container space and ensure the hoists are in good condition.
FAQs
How do you control your quality?
A: Quality is priority. Our factory people always attach great importance to quality controlling from the very beginning to the very end:
(1) All raw material we used are environmental-friendly;
(2) Skillful workers care every details in handling the producing and packing process;
(3) Quality Control Department special responsible for quality checking in each process.
What are your advantages compared with others?
(1) CE Certification and Assessed Factory
Difference between G80 and G70 chains?
G80 offers 15% higher WLL at same diameter and longer fatigue life.
Expected service life?
3-5 years under normal conditions, depending on usage and environment.
How to identify genuine G80 chains?
Look for "G80" marking on each link and request full certification.
